Well, bookstores aren't really in our scope. Wikimaps, maybe, but
Google has quite a head-start.
we don't have a free-content map project at
the moment, but that may be due to the prohibitive pricing of
launching the Wikimedia satellite.
Conveniently, the good old US of A lets us use their satellite images
if we like.
