Not yet, but it could.
It's probably worth adding a rev_type field to programmatically
distinguish edits, moves, etc before we take this live.
Makes sense. I think it would be a step forward. At one point there
was talk of showing the existence of deleted revisions, does that exist?
Can I have admin on the test wiki so that I can figure some of this
stuff out for myself?
I'm not sure what this means. There is not
currently any default
display
of a permalink, though of course you can just copy the first link from
the history.
(Somebody's been playing with the sitenotice on
test.leuksman.com,
perhaps that's what you're referring to?)
On
http://test.leuksman.com/index.php/Main_page just above the "Main
page" header is this text:
Reference to this version of ":Main page" with http://
test.leuksman.com/index.php?title=Main_page&rcid=3282
with the URL as a link.
That's not possible in 1.4 because no revision
number is assigned
until
the next edit is made, when it is moved into the old table.
Ah. I'll continue with the old method of making a useless edit, then.
I noticed that Special:DoubleRedirects doesn't handle more-than-
double redirects very well. I created the chain [[2]] -> [[3]] ->
[[4]] -> [[5]] -> [[6]] -> [[7]] -> [[8]] -> [[Main page]]. The
double redirects page considers it six double redirects, rather than
one many redirect. Not a significant bug, but perhaps something to
consider.
