<DIV>I agree with Steve that we should not pay for knowledge. Having "professional" experts could dictate the direction an article takes--someone can pull rank and say, "Hey, I am the expert. Don't argue with me." This might well threaten NPOV, even if it comes at the cost of having some experts in certain fields intimidated by people who don't know their ass from their elbow making assertions about things they know very little about. Hey, we've seen both happen. </DIV>
