A few years ago there was a news story about a school shooting in the
small town of Springfield, OR. It was easy to draw the conclusion that
Bart Simpson was somehow involved. :-)
During the Gulf War there was also a story that Iraqi broadcast
propaganda was trying to demoralize US troops by suggesting that Bart
Simpson was trying to get into bed with their wives. :-)
