Then by the same argument, why not use Spanish?
I think it was Brion who suggested we use Esperanto. That would be the 
fairest option.

we're *really* not going to encourage them back to the Wikipedia with a 
"Brit abroad" attitude.
I get the impression that that is the principal source of tension 
between en: and the other language 'pedias.
