Why are we organising these events?

The National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) works with universities to help enhance the social and public value of their research and teaching. Since 2008 we have been working with universities, policy makers and funders to embed a culture of public engagement in the work that universities do. However, much of the engagement activity universities do is in partnership with other organisations, which have strong links and networks in the community. These include schools, festivals, museums and galleries, and voluntary sector organisations and charities. These specialist workshops form an important part of our third national conference Engage 2012. To find out more about the conference and our work log on to our website: http://www.publicengagement.ac.uk/.
