<div><br></div><div><div><i>University of Rhode Island students are using what they've learned and updating dozens of oceanography entries on Wikipedia.</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div><i>Susanne Menden-Deuer, a professor at the university's Graduate School of Oceanography, said she's asked her students to identify a biological oceanography term or topic and improve the entry. She said students could also create a new Wikipedia entry for terms not yet included on the free online encyclopedia.</i></div>
<div><i><br></i></div><div><i>One student, Conor McManus of Milton, Mass., updated the Wikipedia page on stable isotope analysis in aquatic ecosystems.</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div><i>He said he chose it because he had learned a little about it as an undergraduate and wanted to learn more. </i></div>
