All I did was enter that in my Google box that's in my Browser address
bar. I don't know if you'd get a different result if you actually
*went* to www.google.com and used the search box in the middle of that
page or not.
I forget what that thing is called that appears as a search box right
in my address bar, but it claims it's google !

What exactly did you google and where was that URL? It's a google URL
pointing to the schools wikipedia URL, probably so they can monitor
who clicks on external links, or something. The last bit is probably a
session ID, it's like using cookies but puts the info on the end of
the URL instead of in a separate file.
