This is hardly a picture that I
would associate with Montmartre. I
presume that the last time you visited Montmartre was before the French
banned absinthe in 1915. The knives that I would imagine would be the
kind that you find in a normal restaurant table setting. The bottles
are more likely to include wine, candles or artists' paintbrushes.
I bet you didn't know absinthe is again legal in France, via teh Cassis de
Dijon principle, and has been for some years. Not with wormwood though,
(or at least so much of it), but still.
