We should not have had to hold a discussion on this.  Nobody is being
forced at gunpoint to acquire or use rollback powers.  If it weren't
for the abject timidity of the developers, my guess is that we would
have uncontroversially had rollback for all registered users since
2005.

Far from being rushed through in a six-day debate as Doc appears to
believe, the discussion on this practical and sensible extension of
software functionality has dragged on needlessly for years, as perfect
an example of instruction creep as it would be possible to ask for.
