Really. "Non-notable" was VFD speak for "I don't like it" or
"I've
never heard of it."
More specifically, it came about during a time when some
administrators were discussing not "counting" "votes" which failed to
explain themselves. A good theory if you want VFD to not be a vote,
but it had the unintended consequence of causing people to make up a
meaningless explanation. "Delete. Not notable." I seem to remember
retaliating against this a bit with quite a few "Keep. Notable."
"votes".
