If people strongly disagree with something, they'll speak up,
regardless of who said/did it. Just take a look at the result of Jimbo
reverting the attribution policy - there were plenty of people that
strongly opposed him doing that (a minority of the community, though,
certainly), and that was just a procedural dispute. This is a matter
of content and policy and is likely to result in opposers being much
more vocal.
