Yes, I meant, I came into this liking the no-index magic word
scenario, but Relata may have a point. Maybe blanking is good enough.
In my experience people are happy with it, and I mean very simple
blanking, not even deletion, much less oversight. What they don't want
is to be a hit in Google, they usually don't care one bit about our
history.
I usually feel like for every n people that complain, a multiple of n
stay silent, despite being wronged. That's why I would lean towards
preemptive no-indexing for *some* pages. (AFD etc), but this is a
slippery slope. The idea of blanking easily as the only solution is
appealing also.
