I suppose that also explains why some years back tooth-paste tubes were 
changed from metallic (tin/zinc?) to plastic. Maybe it was to encourage 
waste.  Try to roll up a plastic tube and it springs back, thus ensuring 
that you never completely get all the toothpaste inside. :-)
