Right. *If* I had done this, and if that policy was in place, and *if*
I was blocked for it, I *would* be affected. Failing that, I edit as
normal.

Really? That's not my impression. Now I'm torn between reading up
enough on this affair to attempt to refute you, or retaining my
sanity.
