I would think that, though the people so

"they support me" claim in public
out and disclaim them openly, it would be quite likely and credible that in
private, if that were an inaccurate claim, they would freely make their
views
known to Durova.
Possibility 1: Durova is not talking about the people on the mailing
list, but about her "trainee sleuths".
Gees. Don't you think it is enough trouble for people to throw around
accusations of star chambers?
Now you are seriously suggesting that Durova is grooming a secret
meat-puppet army of Pinkertons? Gees. I certainly wouldn't ever want
you defending me in any public forum, anywhere, and that is for the
record.
Possibility 2: Durova is talking about the people
on the mailing
list, but misinterpreted the replies (as indeed she misinterpreted
the account in question)
Possibility 3: There is a vast conspiracy and five long-standing
members of the project are lying about it.
Of these, I think possibility 3 is the least likely. There may be
other possibilities I have not considered, of course.
Which all has of course nothing to do with what I said. I think we all
know your view on this matter. Why not give it a rest.
The opinions of many individuals on this thread are already well
known, yet that does not stop them from continually repeating them.
Please don't single out Guy just because he disagrees with you.
