The problem with April Fool's Day is and has always been that on a  
project of this size you A) Get lots of unfunny, and B) Get a  
sufficient volume of unfunny that the site stops being usable. c.f.  
the massive banners people were dropping into the mediawiki namespace  
last year.

I would personally say the main page is good, and that we should also  
restrict other hijinks to the Wikipedia namespace.

And ban them from the template namespace.
