...then that would be interesting to mention on the article about the
episode. But unless his appearance was particularly notable (ie,
controversial, caused a schism in the church, example of how he lost
the plot in 1997...), then it's probably still too trivial to mention
in his article.

Moral of the story: Keep fancruft where it belongs: on articles about
the series itself.
