It baffles me that people think deletion should be treated differently
from other kinds of edits- as if this particular kind of content
dispute ought to be resolved by bureaucracy, rules, and votes, whereas
others should be discusssed and mediated.

I do not want to get into more edit dissputes that last for months.
Delete is different from other dissputes in that the result is rather
binary (there is also the issue that if I started doing PWD on low
profile articles it would be much harder to pick up.
