They usually do it without
even informing the creators of the work of their
proposed deletion
I suggested on AFD talk that when nominating an article for deletion,
you contact the creator. They decided this was too much like effort.
(This was after I wrote [[Danese Cooper]] and it survived deletion
while I wasn't looking. A classic case of "delete because I'm ignorant
of the subject.")
and go ballistic if their
pseudo-policy is questioned.
This is readily apparent too.
