guarantee developers will carry something out simply because it was
voted on. There is a voting mechanism inside bugzilla
(<http://bugzilla.wikipedia.org/page.cgi?id=voting.html>) but I'm not
aware of anyone taking the results of that seriously.
I think the suggestion of using a non-Wikimedia site to trial this
first would be a good idea. If that's done with no problems, someone
might be more willing to risk it on Wikimedia servers. I'd offer
Wikicities, but we're still on 1.4.
