Having said that, I don't like this idea of
turning deletion into a
content matter. We would in effect be condoning and encouraging edit
warfare by making page-blanking an acceptable edit. For some people,
it would be an irresistible invitation to vandalism, for others, a way
of suppressing inconvenient statements.
Or delete articles against concensus. If anyone can delete and
undelete, the deletion log will be clogged up with school articles and
forums. Sure, they can be undeleted again, but AFD is supposed to make
a somewhat final decision that can only be overturned by logic and
arguments, not a single editor's mood.
