[Mediawiki-l] GPL 2,3 etc

Hi,

I was wondering what the current thinking around Mediawiki licensing
was. I note all the headers are assigned in the core project to enable
a license shift. Does wikimedia expect to upgrade the license to 3 in
the near future, or is 2 where its at. Obviously there are some big
GPL 3 philosophical divides emerging - GPL 3 being seen as a more
militant approach to opensource.

GPL3 could cause issues when used in commercial environment for us, so
I'd like to know what the devs think!
