Someone put together a patch:

However it's probably out of date and you're likely to run into problems 
with both rarer code paths in the main MediaWiki code and many 
extensions. PostreSQL is much more actively supported and still 
experiences many such problems.

My strong recommendation is to just install MySQL and be done with it. 
It's free, and a small installation doesn't take a lot of resources.
