[Mediawiki-l] Fixing bullets and 'float: left' images?

Under our version of MW (1.6.9 IIRC), lists displayed in Firefox

(haven't yet tried IE) on the right side of a 'float-left' image have 
their bullets (or numbers) positioned layered under the image, and are 
hence invisible. Presumably this is a margin or indent or similar 
problem, and I could hack CSS to fix it, but thought I would check first 
to see if there is an "approved" fix.
