[Mediawiki-api] Result ranking of full text search

Hello,

Is there any implicit/explicit ranking mechanism for the results obtained
using API for full text search?

example:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=search&srsearch=Institution&format=xml


If possible, can some one throw some light on the ranking?
