WMDE has just concluded the Fundraiser 2011 in Germany.<br>
<br>
What can we say?<br>
<br>
Well, let the numbers talk:<br>
<br>
* 3,8 Million Euro<br>
* more than 160.000 donors<br>
* 12 different appeals with 5 appeals from Germany<br>
* 1240 new membership requests<br>
* more than 5.000 recurrent gifts (with nearly 1.300 monthly gifts)<br>
* a three days shorter Fundraiser than last year<br>
<br>
This fundraiser was a tremendous succuess. Even though we have not<br>
written a comprehensive analysis, yet, I can outline some points why we<br>
did that good.<br>
<br>
* we tested landingpages, banners and appeals extensively<br>
* we now have a really good donation form integrating money transfer and<br>
PayPal-donations<br>
* we managed central notice totally on our own to react immediately<br>
after our tests<br>
* we answered most of the donor questions immeditately (we had mails in<br>
a massive quantity, pouring in nearly every minute)<br>
* we localized our landingpage even more than last year<br>
* we were transparent as much as possible (e.g. you could find our<br>
budget plan 2012 on the landingpage - and people do read this document)<br>
<br>
But these are only some of the reasons on our side. We will write a<br>
detailed report in a few days and publish it on meta.<br>
<br>
For now, I would like to thank Megan and Pats, the Production<br>
Coordinators and especially the story-tellers as well as the ones<br>
telling their story for their work and support.<br>
