Sure, any change will affect the community, that doesn't means it's
something that requires community consultation. Adding a few extra
sort options to special pages is not going to do any harm, is it? It's
also not the kind of change that can be easily made to just one site
as it's a change to core code, so you can't get community approval for
it, there being no one community to ask.
