That would be cool, but not likely to happen for a while (but don't
let that stop you opening a bug report :)).
And maybe advertise the issue to users, pointing to
easy ways to EXIF-tag
the images.

Unfortunately users are already rather "overwhelmed" with issues being
advertised at them.
