== External ==

Wikimedia Czech Republic took part in two public exhibitions. In April,
it participated in the LinuxExpo fair, devoted to the open-source
community. In May, the association took part in the Book World fair,
where its kiosk was visited by hundreds of visitors. On both occasions,
the Wikimedia Czech Republic held official presentations in front of
dozens in auditory. Wikimedia Czech Republic presentation was
accompanied by the Microsoft personnel, which unique Microsoft Surface
system served as a valuable tool for the Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia
projects content and attracted much attention to the Wikimedia Czech
Republic kiosk.

Five different sets of leaflets were printed for these events and were
met with a considerable interest from the public. The leaflets were
partly financed by the special Wikimedia Foundation allowance.

The Czech edition of the Creative Commons licenses was published in
March, Wikimedia Czech Republic, who participated in the preparation of
the edition, took part in the official presentation.

Members of the association ran a series of presentations about Wikipedia
in the Czech scientific and academic institutions named "Wikipedia - can
I trust it? can I help it?".

Wikimedia Czech Republic published two official press releases (on the
occasion of approving the plan of activities and on the occasion of the
Wikimedia projects licensing update) that were used by several mostly
internet-oriented media.

At the end of June, the Wikimedia Czech Republic members started
preparation of the book of Wikipedia that shall be published in fall.

== Inter-Chapter ==

Wikimedia Czech Republic prepared eight applications for WMF grants that
were presented to the Wikimedia Foundation. The projects represent an
important segment of the planned activities for the near future. Six of
these applications were approved by the WMF at the beginning of July –
Digitalization equipment, Acquiring scientific and specialized pictures,
Camera, Exhibition presentation (the budget reduced by third), Czech
municipalities photographs and Photo Workshop.

Wikimedia Czech Republic representatives took part in the Berlin
chapters meeting.

== Internal ==

In March, Wikimedia Czech Republic members approved the association’s
budget and 2009 activities plan in a correspondence vote.

The Annual general meeting took place April 25 in Prague. Three new
members were elected into the board of the association. The annual
reports of the association were approved unanimously and the Bylaws of
the association were modified. The English version of the annual report
is available on the Meta wiki pages of Wikimedia Czech Republic.

The number of members varied around 30, the financial situation was
stable and the run of the association was funded by small donors and the
special allowance from the Wikimedia Foundation. The activities were
also supported by several local partners who provided the association a
material help.
