Yes I agree we should get Portuguese up and running. I guess the first thing we need to determine is if we have enough volunteer editors. If there are 20 people interested this should be sufficient.

We than need to get ahold of the full copy. Than we upload it as a new language. Should not be to difficult. I think we should deal with the image issue first and I can than help with building support for this new language.

I sent an email to Erik and nothing. Have you gotten any response from Roland?

I just want to know what to do because there are many people interested in the project in Brazil, not yet heard back from Portugal, but we found legal problems in imports as I was doing, and problems of enormous effort for little result.

Moreover, almost all the templates do not work right, for lack of things installed on Incubator (which in my view should be the Wiki with more things installed, not the opposite, as it is today). So the work is stopped, meanwhile, WikiTravel pt receives a shower of contributions. Just a vent..

Hi,
I tried to outline this here: https://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Incubator:Wikivoyage_import#Ex-Wikitravel_editions (and afaik it's correct)
I have just now asked user:Unger from Wikivoyage e.V., which probably has the files, if they can be provided. If yes, the Language committee will approve the creation of further wikivoyages (such as Portuguese) and the content can be imported then.

I wonder how we could import the data from WikiTravel in Portuguese. Apparently the files have been exported, there would need to be deposited in pt.wikivoyage.org, we ask a programmer Lusophone do since the WMF will no longer do this work, and there is an interested community. Only want to know the steps to follow.

And'll document so that other interested communities can also do.
