Hi Thomas, thanks for sharing your experiences. The issues you mention can truly be problematic. I will keep them in mind. But for my use case "jquery.ui.autocomplete" does work quite well. I don't think there were considerations about changing MediaWiki's built-in suggestion feature. That's not what this discussion is about. It's just about a little (very specific) extension I'm working on. :) Robert
