One big problem on Commons has been a poorly written [[common:Commons:Project scope]].
That seems to be much better now, THANK YOU!, whoever it was....

Ämne: [Wikisource-l] Commons deletion of WS oriented works

I have been on a gentle tirade against Commons admins about the works that
they delete without reference to the respective Wikisources when something
is nominated for deletion, and they feel the need to delete.

I have been encouraging them to at least poke one of the wikis where an
image is used, most especially if the work is a djvu file.  REally cranky
with them when they just delete a djvu file, as it screws up many
components, and means that we cannot even easily delete the works at our
wikis if it is warranted.  So I would appreciate your help at Commons, if
you see this activity being undertaken without due concern to the sister
projects.

Other users can also help a little with the process by looking at their
local wiki for the [[Special:Contributions/Commonsdelinker]] which is the
clean up bot.  If there are removals at your local wiki, and you think that
the removal was unwarranted, then you may wish to pursue its undeletion at
Commons.  If it is a fair deletion for Commons, however, your local wiki
would be able to host the work, then I am open to requests to recover the
work, either at your local wiki page, or at my commons page.  As there are
a number of commons admins at the WS, they too may be willing to assist.

WSians should consider whether [[Commons:User:Commons fair use upload
bot]] may be of help to their wiki, 1) in getting the relevant help text
done, and 2) whether it is applicable to their needs.  I believe that this
is useful means to push admins at Commons who may be deletionists to look
to getting a positive resolution if the work can be hosted at your WS wiki.

Regards, Andrew
