As many of you will already be aware, the Wikimedia Foundation is currently running elections for four board vacancies. There are 19 candidates for the election, from all across the world and representing a range of perspectives and experience in terms of their engagement with Wikimedia and their professional backgrounds.

Wikimedia UK has no involvement in Wikimedia Foundation governance or this election, but I wanted to share the details with you all and encourage you to vote if you are eligible. People who are entitled to vote in this election include editors, developers, Wikimedia Foundation staff and contractors, Wikimedia affiliates' staff and contractors, and Wikimedia Foundation board and committee members.
