Dear Serbian/English Wikipedia
My name is Vojin Vidanovic, I am a graduated social worker. Currently I am
working
with my father prof Ivan Vidanovic, Ph D, on first Serbian Dictionary of
social work,
which will be published to celebrate 50 years of this profession in
Serbia.
As a Wikipedia fan (user rastavox) I have
decided to input for all important terms
links to Wikipedia in Dictionary (from English Wikipedia) as most
relevant
Internet links availiable and also great sources of further links.
As an example I am sending first 100 pages of
working version so you could
gain insight (for english readers, just translations and links are making
some point)
Vocabulary is currently being corrected and in
DTP process.
I consider also that Vocabulary can earn a
Wikipedia logo inside, or that some of
the following ideas might be considered:
- That Dictionary gains a right to put a
Wikipedia commercial as whole project, plus Wikipedia in Serbian. If you
agree, please send me a standard version, if it exists.
- That Wikipedia, altough charitable and non-profit
concept, should promote or donate Dictionary or help finding donors for
printing
- That Dictionary, after being sold at least one
year (no late then automn 2007) "donates" its contents to a Serbian Wikipedia,
which would great a great base of unique developed and professionaly written
terms, confronting concept of "just translating English articles". Off course
it would be nice that author, prof dr Ivan Vidanovic is "entitled" as one of
the Serbian Wikipedia "donors" since Dictionary took several years of his
work
