I think it sounds great too!

We take part in a lot of similar events around the world, but a couple that come to mind which we participate in in Brazil are Campus Party & FISL. I'm happy to pass along resources from our presentations and talk about other outreach ideas (e.g., editing table).

Hi guys,

I just blogged about Africa Open Days here: http://www.mozilla-kenya.org/blog/12-africa-open-days.

Basically, it's an event that will showcase open-source technologies through talks and demos on open tech in Africa and the first stop, well you guessed it, Kenya!

Currently, the main organizers for this are guys from Mozilla and Fedora. I feel that Wikimedia will perfectly fit in this event and we could probably have demos and talks around Wikipedia, Mediawiki, Commons etc.

A date hasn't been decided yet but it will probably be around September. Let me know what you think regarding having Wikimedia taking part in this.

cheers,
Alex!
