Jessie,

While this might be a good initiative, some schools have absolutely no funds so camara gets out of the options... I believe we still can find options for such institutions.

Do you have the contact for Camara?  I would be curious to talk to them about updating the version of offline Wikipedia they use on their computer: I just downloaded it, and it is a bit outdated, and is not Kiwix either.  I think we could set them up with a better offline version at this point.

Also, did someone connect with the Engineers Without Borders Gothenburg (See Discussion: Small EWB Gothenburg project in Kisumu)?  I know their project was explicitly in Kisumu this time around, but it might be worth connecting with them about (a) the success of Kisumu (was supposed to occur in February) and (b) potential interest in working with other areas of Kenya...

Great work everyone!  Your efforts are truly inspirational.
Jessie

As for Maweni, if they are ready to get computers, we could connect them to Camara -- which sells a refurbished edubuntu computer at 5k (i think). And these computers are usually pre-installed with offline Wikipedia.
