Hi ,guys i also had a chance to attend some sessions on cyber security and cyber crime, the question that was put to us was...as we strive to put more content to the internet and give people universal access to it  - the core business of WMF,we should spare a moment and make deliberate efforts to secure our cyberspace ,the panelist noted that @ the moment many countries don't have cyber security strategies ,legislation .
We realized in most developing countries the law enforcers and the judicial system know little about cyber crime thus the need for capacity building ,the dark side is many cyber crimes go unpunished.
@ the moment if a cyber crime originates from onother country its difficult to nail the offender simply because ,they other country would rightly say they are under no obligation to reveal the identity of the offender ,our take was we should ratify the Budapest convention .
i met ,Adrian Dwyer ,the executive director of international association of internet hotlines we discussed the possibility of launching a 24/7 hotline for reporting harmful content .
i also met Vint Cerf the guy behind TCP/IP and for sure without TCP/IP the growth of internet to what its now would have been impossible ,there will be a fireside chart with him @ ihub today ,
will do a session today till noon, thanks Steve and Abbas
for your timely comments.

Hi nice people today has also been a great day at IGF .

Most importantly though I met a wikipedian from Argentina and she was very happy to learn of our intentions and plans in Kenya.

She told me that she has been involving her post graduate studies' in writing high quality articles in Spanish and posting them to Wikipedia. I got the contacts and more details shall follow later. ...........

Being a facilitator at the meeting's live stream I had a chat with the camera guys and I briefly talked to them about WTN....they were very very happy on hearing the news!!!!! So +1...

Best regards,
Stephen.

Anyway, on the panel we had some folks from Google, UNESCO, Egypt and the Kenyan government -- each talking about their various efforts to promote local content creation. I'll try and trace some of the meeting notes and post them to the mailing list.

To me I see it as Creation (writing articles uses internet), preservation (saving on WMF servers, uses internet), dissemination (ISPs) and utilization of data (internet users accessing the data).
