I think they use it in the sense Wikipedia = Encyclopedia (they are covering India related news). Like Xerox machine became synonymous with photo copying.

People might even mistake any wiki for Wikimedia projects. Probably there are 100s of sites like this all over the world.

Unless someone is misusing Wikipedia trademark intentionally, we better let them go off. An NPO like Wikimedia should not waste its resources in petty issues.
