Hi Jayantilal,

Thank you for asking such interesting questions. To assure you, you aren't the only person having those concerns! You can find detailed responses to those on the project FAQ page here:

Hope this helps answer your questions.

Samir

Dear Samir,
Why are you sharing Facebook group pages ? Will discussions happen out there to decide actions. Then tomorrow you will use Whatsapp chat for action.
You have shared a meta link where only 10 people have signed under individual section and why this different page.  I know this page Request for comment (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_comment/Should_the_Foundation_call_itself_Wikipedia) where more than 400 people have voted to oppose against just 39 votes in support. Are you taking this even to consider.
Someone has told me that WMF did Brand conference in Bangalore. I cannot find any Meta for it. Can you please share the page link.

Jayantilal

Hi Jayantilal,

Samir Elsharbaty here from the movement brand project team. I'd like to build on Subha's response and clarify that proposals for naming conventions haven’t been defined yet. According to the project timeline [1], several proposals for a naming convention will be shared with the communities for feedback in May, at the earliest. At the end of this review, one proposal will be selected and refined. You can check the timeline to learn about further phases with public reviews before the full proposal for a brand system is presented to the Wikimedia Foundation leadership and the Board.

I would like to personally invite you to join us in the Brand Network on meta wiki [2] or on Facebook [3] to keep up to date with the project updates.

Thank you!

Best,
Samir

Hello,
There is news about Wikimedia Foundation moving to Wikipedia Foundation ? Can someone update what's the current status and what are the views of Indians ? I am personally interested in knowing more. I don't support this Brand change but I think I do not have all knowledge. What will happen to India and what do Indians feel about this ?

Thanks
