7 days have passed and the Filmi music datathon is midway. Till now 12 volunteers have enrolled in the event and edited around 2400 items and created > 2000 items till now. >2200 statements were backed by references.

The top 3 playback singers on Wikidata are -Sonu Nigam (889 songs), Manna Dey (597 songs) and Arijit Singh (372 songs) followed by 320 singers in the line
The top 3 composers on Wikidata are - Pritam Chakraborty (197 songs), Anu Malik (114 songs), Himesh Reshammiya (83 songs) followed by 252 composers in the line
The top 3 lyricists on Wikidata are - Sameer (263 songs), Gouriprasanna Majumdar (181), Pulak Bandyopadhyay (171 songs) followed by 190 lyricists in the line
The top 3 languages for the songs are - Hindi (1998 songs), Bengali (707 songs), Tamil (43 songs ) followed by 14 more languages in the line.

There has been significant enrichment of related data to present as birthday gifts to Wikidata. However, you can notice that we are still missing data of film songs from the golden age and classical age of Hindi cinema. Legendary artists like Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Muhammad Rafi, Hemanta Mukherjee, R. D. Burman etc. are still not having much presence on Wikidata. Songs from South Indian movies are also lagging behind, requiring engagement from our Wikidata volunteers from there.
