Hello all,

This makes the "featured content" available and share-able in more machine readable format and also gives many possibilities.

1. Blogs / Websites can now carry content feeds from Wikipedia / WikiProjects
2. Feeds can be posted automatically to facebook pages to share featured content socially.
3. Mobile and apps (but untill fonts / rendering is fixed, it might not be as much useful)

I just tried to pull up "On This Day" content from Tamil Wikipedia onto my blog with a widget, it was just matter of few minutes to make it happen. Please share this with content websites and if they are interested in giving us some space, please take this forward. Let me know if you need help in setting up these for your wiki's.

This will however be fruitful only if featured content gets generated consistently. You might also want to read more about importance of Front Page content(in Tamil Wiki Community) here[1]

Yesterday we deployed FeaturedFeeds[1] to the cluster (thanks,
Arthur!) Everything looks good so far, examples of feeds: [2], [3].

We haven't enabled feed links in the sidebar like on our staging wiki
at [4] - I wonder if we should enable them on opt-in or opt-out basis.

Overall, I'd apreciate your critics, comments, suggestions. Also,
please assist your local communities in seting up their feeds, especially
if you know less common languages.
