A gentle reminder wouldn't hurt. One of the ideas I jotted down for a Wikimedia
chapter in Ireland was to get a link to Wikipedia on every school desktop. Getting a link
put on the laptops rolled out in the "Smart Schools" program should be a
priority, if we were to.
The 'pedia though is not the only project: how much of the English curriculum is on
Wikisource? Or primary documents for history curriculum? That's an inside track that
Wikimedia has over the likes of Britannia and World Book. Not to mention the Gaeilge Wiki,
which is pretty much a one-of-a-kind and could be a big selling point.
It would also be possible to do a slimmed down, curriculum focused 'pedia like
schools-wikipedia.org specifically for an Irish market, but that would be more work.
Some thoughts anyway,

versions of the popular Encyclopedia Britannica and World Book as
part of an e-Learning initiative announced today."
... do you think we should offer to generously let them access
Wikipedia for free as well? We can even throw in the native language
version. ;-)
