The launch on Saturday went very well. In the first week of the contest
we had 537 images uploaded by 114 users, a huge jump from last year.
-
PR-we got a lot of press including an article on the.journal.ie which
cause a big spike in uploads. We still have 1 hour of PR work which we will
use to cover the winners at the end of October.
-
The WMF grant is still pending.
-
We have three judges. SE is waiting on bios to post to the website.
-
A member of the volunteer Derry Walls group asked for their monument to
be included in the contest. It was agreed that SE will notify them that as
part of the UK we can’t include them this year but if Wikimedia UK doesn’t
run the contest next year, we will look into including them.

RO created the Ireland Portal on Commons.
