Dear friends!
The Wikimedia affiliate Wiki Movimento Brasil is happy to share with the Movement our Strategic Manifesto for 2023-2025. There is a visual version in Portuguese [1], English [2] and Spanish [3], as well as an on-wiki version [4], available in these languages, French and open to further translations.
This document is the result of a one-year-long collaborative process, started in November 2021, to redefine our affiliate's priorities and goals. This process –which reflects how our community and organization have appropriated the 2030 Movement Strategy– has rested upon a mix of research and community-consultation methods, and the actual writing has had the direct involvement of 65 people. Key moments were: a community-wide research we have led on strategy and governance [5] and the organization of the first Brazilian Wikimedia Conference, in which we held strategy discussion sessions with Wikimedians and partners [6].
We have sought to carefully document our coordination, research, production and writing process, so that our case might eventually serve as a parameter for other initiatives. The methodology [7] and the lexicon [8] of our Strategic Manifesto are available for consultation.
We thank everyone who has participated and supported us in this work. We remain attentive to anyone who would like to share feedback or has questions about Wiki Movimento Brasil's strategy.
