Dear Everyone,
We hope you are all enjoying the wonderful moments following the celebration of
International Youth Day 2023 with the WikiVibrance team. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who joined the event and made it even more joyful. Without your participation, this event wouldn't have been possible. We were truly amazed by the enthusiastic involvement of young people from various corners of the world.
We did our utmost to organize Youth Day for Wikimedia's youth community, with the aim of boosting their contributions. While we can't be certain of our success, the love and support we received from the participants meant the world to us.
We also want to extend our sincere thanks to the incredible organizers who worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly. We know it's hard to adequately thank the organizing team, but we deeply appreciate the amazing work you all put into making the event a success.
Here, we'd like to share some key highlights from IYD 2023:
1.
Xperience Call: We provided a platform for young individuals to share their inspiring stories with the world. We were thrilled to hear the success stories of these young voices. You can find the recordings of the Xperience Call here:

Edit-a-thon: We organized an edit-a-thon focusing on youth-related topics in various communities. A total of 158 people participated in the edit-a-thon. Together, they created 1494 new articles and updated 3173 existing articles. For more detailed statistics, please visit the meta page:

Nominations and Barnstars: As part of IYD 2023, we took nominations from the community and awarded Barnstars to individuals who have consistently helped and inspired young people to work within the Wikimedia movement. For more information, please visit the nomination page:

As we wrap up IYD 2023 for this year, we want to assure you that we'll be back again in 2024 with even more exciting initiatives.
