Hi Pine,

We are fine with you combining the food costs with other start-up costs for the group in a grant request. However, considering the short timeline, you would not get the funds until after the event. It you would like to submit a request, I would encourage you to do so early this week. Then the GAC/WMF could make a decision by early next week. How many folks do you have signed up already?

Cheers,

Alex

I'm currently unclear about specific plans are TA3M Seattle's end. I
think planner was thinking about one speaker, not sure if it worked
out. The talk about lightning rounds also was brought up by another
planner, unclear about how this is being scheduled (or if it needs to
be).

I'd be ok if the event had no speakers. I've heard from other TA3M
cities that they have speakerless events and the networking is good.

I'd be ok if we did some lightning round talks.

I am not sure if there is any speaker signed up. If Mako is attending,
maybe we can ask him to be backup speaker, if that doesn't happen and
we need a speaker? :-)

I'll split the food/beverage fees with Pine, so the Wikipedia paperwork
will only be half the size.
