Would the second Tuesday in August work?
Tentative agenda:
I am hoping that we can get a Wikimania report from Peaceray.
I also hope to be able to report on meetings with WMUK and Wikimedia
Community Ireland regarding their experiences with growth strategies.
Brian and I have bank paperwork to sign.
We are scheduling a meeting with UW about plans for the upcoming academic
year.
We also need to plan board elections for next year. At this time I'm not
aware of any new candidates or anyone who wants to step down.
Please indicate if the 2nd Tuesday in August is ok, and if you need to
participate remotely.
Thanks,
Pine
Hi Cascadians,
Talk proposals for the SeaGL 2015 conference are due on Friday. Info at
http://seagl.org/
I believe that at least two of us have submitted proposals. You can too!

Hi all,
I shared a planning spreadsheet for WikiConference USA 2016 in Seattle.
(This year's conference is on the other coast. Please book your flights and
hotels for the correct Washington for each event.)
The 2016 planning spreadsheet link is
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1c8MZGLtdovIkZNa3B0OusY2ma00Fiu6WR3I…
* The document is visible to the general public. Feel free to share the
link.
* Please refrain from adding anything to the doc that shouldn't be public,
like private phone numbers.
* Currently, board members and officers of Cascadia Wikimedians have edit
permissions for the document. Selected members of likely partner
organizations (WMF, Wiki Ed Foundation, WMNY, and WMDC) have permission to
post comments in the doc. If anyone needs more permissions than they have,
then please email Peaceray or I to request a permissions change.
* Planning is in the early stages, and this event is likely to be at least
a year from now. Particularly important issues that are still to be
determined are:
1. Will OpenStreetMap USA have a joint event with us?
2. Will the Seattle GNU/Linux (SeaGL) Conference have a joint event with us?
3. When will the event take place?
4. Does the UW have the capacity to host the estimated number of attendees
during the days that are selected for the conference?
More info in the months ahead.
Regards,
Pine
May I assume "Café Alfredo" is meant to read "Café Allegro"? Because I
don't know a Café Alfredo in Seattle.
(Also, I plan to be out of town 2nd week of August, but I will make the
July 27 thing.)

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 I already added an event on our
meet up page for Seattle at Café Alfredo. I haven't reserved tables with
them yet for that date. Yours, Peaceray

Hi Cascadians,
You may recall that we discussed setting up tutorial videos for VE. Victor
is working on a simple one for WMF, and I'm thinking that we can present
short videos about intermediate-level topics like talk pages, article
quality assessments, COI, Wikiprojects, privacy, and more advanced editing
features like tables and image uploads.
Stay tuned,
Pine
