Hi,
For both logistical and cost reasons, the Core Organizing Team has decided to focus on side events inside the city of Katowice. We do not plan to organize any activities outside of the city. However, attendees are always free to self-organize tours and excursions based on their interests.
We expect to coordinate and announce our side events in the months leading up to Wikimania, so keep your eye out for that on the Wikimania-wiki!

Hi all,_______________________________________________I'm sure the organisers have a lot on their plate right now so I don't want to add any unnecessary pressure, I was just wondering if any thought had been given to an organised excursion of Wikimedians to Auschwitz during Wikimania as Krakow seems reasonably close?I know this is a sensitive topic and likely to be deeply distressing but I'm sure many of us would find it worthwhile.Best,Harry
