Dear Raul,

There are shops that accept the Octopus card at the airport, and if you're travelling to the airport in early morning, you can also get a refund from the MTR Customer Service Counter in the morning as the first train leaves the airport around 0600 so the counters will be opened by then.

Best regards,

I'll go from the hotel by transfer to the airport. I'm doubt if there will be an open train service center in the airport by 7am, but as I was told, maybe there are some open shops that accept it.

Thanks,
Raul

I think you can get back at least HKD 40 (and perhaps the credit) if you return it to the train customer service center.

There's no point to throw it away, but I will leave tomorrow by transfer so early there won't even be a chance to get the deposit back. Really, if someone walk to enjoy the cool metro for some more days, it could be useful.
